Scott Gordon is an experienced litigator who specializes in civil rights class actions to advance the rights of people with disabilities. Scott was previously a Senior Staff Attorney at Disability Rights Advocates, the leading national nonprofit disability rights legal center, based in Berkeley, California. At Disability Rights Advocates, Scott’s practice focused on Americans with Disabilities Act class actions seeking systemic changes against major cities and large corporate entities. Scott also has extensive experience litigating complex employment matters on behalf of workers, and was previously an associate attorney in the employment section at Schneider Wallace Cottrell Kim LLP. Throughout his career, Scott has litigated numerous successful class actions on behalf of people with disabilities and on behalf of employees.
Scott is a paraplegic as a result of a motor vehicle accident and uses a manual wheelchair for mobility. His first-person experience and understanding contribute greatly to his representation of clients with disabilities. Scott graduated from the Temple University Beasley School of Law after becoming a paraplegic, and holds a Bachelor of Science with distinction from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
