Ileana C. Cardona Fernández is a Staff Attorney in Schneider Wallace Cottrell Konecky LLP’s Puerto Rico office.
Before joining the firm, Ileana built a successful practice as a solo litigation support attorney, assisting colleagues in managing complex cases and achieving favorable outcomes for their clients. With over ten years of experience providing comprehensive litigation support and strategic legal solutions in civil litigation in Puerto Rico and federal courts, Ileana provided top quality legal research and writing, litigation consulting, and legal project management.
During her career, Ileana has also served as Plaintiffs’ counsel in Puerto Rico state and federal court general tort claims, medical malpractice suits, and personal injury claims, as well as compliance matters regarding applicable federal regulations.
Ileana earned her J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she was Associate Director of the Law Review and authored two published legal articles relevant to Puerto Rico tort law. She is a Certified Legal Project Practitioner and is admitted to practice in Puerto Rico and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
