Mahzad is a trial lawyer based in Emeryville, California, representing clients in a wide array of complex matters. Her current practice focuses on product liability, pharmaceutical litigation, business insurance, and antitrust matters.
Prior to joining Schneider Wallace Cottrell Konecky LLP, Mahzad worked as an associate at Levin Simes Abrams LLP. She was at the forefront of e-cigarette cases, co-leading the firm’s exploding e-cigarette practice and Juul physical injury cases. Her work was featured in several media outlets, including Yahoo Finance, ABC-7 News, Vice, The Guardian, among others.
Mahzad received her law degree from the McGeorge School of Law, where she co-founded and served as president of her school’s chapter of the Consumer Attorneys of California, served indigent clients as a certified law student in the public defender’s office, and mentored children in the K-12 Education Pipeline Program.
