Kenneesha A. Johnson obtained her JD from Southern University Law Center (SULC) in 2017. She is a Louisiana native licensed to practice in both Louisiana and Texas with a passion for justice and advocacy.
Prior to joining the firm, Kenneesha served as a public defender for the 15th Judicial District Public Defender’s Office where she provided representation to hundreds of clients in numerous trials, pre-trials, and motion hearings. During her time as a Public Defender she learned the importance of showing compassion and being assertive.
While in law school, Kenneesha served as a Law Clerk with the City Court of Baton Rouge, Secretary of the Student Bar Association, Executive Board Member of the SULC Pro Bono Project, and as a Research Assistant. During her time at SULC, she also received the Student Bar Association award for SBA Officer of the year due to her hard work and dedication to the Law Center and recognition at graduation for completing more than 200 hours of community service.
