Ms. Everett obtained her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law in Long Island, New York. While in law school, Ms. Everett competed and traveled with the Hofstra Trial and Advocacy Association; served as the Vice President and Community Outreach Chair of the Black Law Student Association; and served as the Secretary of the Public Justice Foundation. Ms. Everett was also a Staff Editor for the American College of Trust and Estates Counsel. Additionally, Ms. Everett participated in the Criminal Justice Clinic representing indigent clients in Nassau County District Court.

Prior to law school, Ms. Everett completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. During her time at the University of Georgia, Ms. Everett focused on community service through her membership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Ms. Everett also focused her efforts on conservation by traveling and studying abroad at the University of Georgia’s Ecolodge in Monteverde, Costa Rica.
