Edgar Perez Olivares is a staff attorney at Schneider Wallace Cottrell Konecky LLP. Edgar handles various aspects of discovery on a broad range of complex class action matters.
Prior to joining SWCK, Edgar acquired experience working in discovery for clients in the global financial services, insurance, health care and energy industries while working at an AM Law 100 firm in New York City. He has experience managing cross-border and domestic eDiscovery projects. Edgar has also provided pro bono legal services for detained parents separated from their children, immigrants seeking naturalization, H-1B visa candidates and individuals impacted by the 2017 travel ban.
Edgar graduated from St. Johns University School of Law. He had an active leadership role in his law school’s Latin American Law Students Association and served as Regional President for the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Law Student Division. Edgar received the Vincentian Scholarship and worked with the Immigration Legal Services Department of Catholic Charities as part of St. John’s Refugee and Immigrant Rights Litigation Clinic.
Edgar received a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and is admitted to practice law in New York State.
