Carolyn Okorafor is based in Houston, Texas. Her practice focuses on employment class action matters and civil rights.
Carolyn graduated from UNT Dallas College of Law. While attending law school, she was selected to serve in the Ameri Corp JD program, where she clerked for the Honorable Judge Amber Given Davis. She also worked in the Joyce Ann Brown Innocence Clinic, where she evaluated, investigated, and pursued actual claims of innocence. She was awarded the Judge Jerry Buchmeyer Award for demonstrating the understanding of the importance of passion for justice. In her final year of law school, she clerked in the United States District Court for the Honorable Judge David Horan.
Prior to joining the firm, Carolyn worked for a criminal boutique law firm where she handled many cases on behalf of prisoners and families who were being mistreated. During her time at the firm, she was able to develop experience in the post-conviction litigation department. Carolyn wants to use her legal background to fight for issues she is strongly passionate about.
