Failure to Pay Overtime

California law requires that employers pay non-exempt employees overtime pay for hours worked over the standard number of hours.

Failure to Reimburse For Cost Of Uniform

Certain retail stores and restaurants unlawfully force their employees to purchase uniforms from the employer or require uniforms for which the employees are not reimbursed, in violation of the California Labor Code.

Overtime and Vacation Pay Violations

At many companies, hourly employees are not receiving the employee benefits and/or overtime pay to which they are entitled to under the law.

Employee Non-Competition Agreements

The firm is currently challenging non-competition, confidentiality, "can't work" and "can't hire" agreements and policies that attempt to restrict the rights of employees to work for a competitor of an employer or otherwise find a new job.

Failure to Pay for Breaks and Mealtime

Various companies do not allow their employees to take breaks for mealtime (1/2 hour per shift) and other mandatory break periods (10 minutes per 4 hours worked).
